Francesco Iorio

Group Leader, Centre for Computational Biology

Francesco Iorio is a computer scientists, currently at the Wellcome Sanger Institute and since 2010 at the Wellcome Genome Campus in Cambridge (UK). He will collaborate with the Centre for Computational Biology mainly working on analytical methods for pharmacogenomics, therapeutic target discovery, drug repositioning and biomedical big-data mining. His work will focus on cancer, rare diseases and neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. In the coming months, Francesco will be establishing his team and research activity, dividing his time between Milan and Cambdrige.
