Fri, Apr 3 2020 - Human Technopole and Arexpo present the project for the Human Technopole Campus and the new building that will host research laboratories: ten floors high and 35.000 square meters dedicated to scientists and cutting-edge technology to be built and completed in three years. The winner of the international architectural competition is the Milanese studio Piuarch.
As the Milan EXPO came to an end in 2015, the Italian government and local institutions started a discussion concerning the future use of the area. The aim was to have a project that would carry on the legacy of the Expo, with a focus on sustainability, health, environment, solidarity and opportunities for young people. The Italian government, with the support of the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), renowned centre of scientific and technological excellence, decided for the creation of a multidisciplinary research infrastructure, that would combine different research areas to tackle issues relating to health, aging and well-being.
